Hi there! Another weekend is over and it’s back to work.. womp womp 🙁 This week should go pretty quickly considering LIFE is just going by pretty quickly these days and we have off on Friday for the Good Friday holiday!
We had a pretty great weekend which started Saturday morning when these little buggers slept until 7 AM!!!
I was in shock. Thomas is the early bird of the two and the latest he is typically awake is 6-6:15am. Skyler will usually sleep a little bit longer but NEVER until 7am. I actually had a chance to drink a cup of HOT coffee and throw in a load of laundry before they were officially up.
Once they had diapers changed, I gave them each a bottle of milk while I prepared their breakfast. They shared a waffle with butter and had some strawberries on the side. I got them dressed and their bag packed and then we were out the door by 8:30am to head to an eye doctor appointment which was about a 40 minute drive away.
Taking them out has gotten a lot easier now that they are walking. As long as they are in a confined place, they are happy just to be able to wander around and explore their surroundings. I was with my mom and sister, which of course always makes things much easier as well.
They loved looking out the door and watching the cars go by. Everything is so new to them and I love watching them see things for the first time. They also REALLY loved that small table with the magazines.. and ripping off the covers of almost half of them.
Their eye exams went great and they are exactly where they should be right now which is excellent news for babies that were premature.
We headed to the mall to do a little shopping at the new store ‘Primark’. Primark offers discounted clothing for women, men and children and the store also sells intimates and housewares. I bought a few things for myself and of course couldn’t resist buying for the kiddies! I mean you really can’t go wrong with $2.50 t-shirts for a toddler who is most likely going to ruin them anyway!
After a quick bite to eat, we left the mall and got home around 1:30pm. I entertained the kiddies for a bit which has gotten to be a little difficult. They are constantly climbing all over me and fighting for my attention and if I walk away from them I get TEARS! I love that they love me but it makes being home along with them pretty tough sometimes… and I hate to just stick them in front of the TV which means bathroom breaks look a little something like this now..
And me yelling.. “don’t touch that, close the door, be careful with that” …repeatedly.
Saturday night ended on a VERY exhausting note and we were asleep by 9:30pm.
The babies were awake by 6:15am on Sunday and our day started with bottles and breakfast again. I didn’t have to run out anywhere so we took our time. After breakfast, Tommy played with the kiddies for a bit while I prepared some food for the week.
Next up was bath time and I was able to get some pics that I will most certainly be showing Thomas and Skyler’s High School prom dates in the future…
Hahaa! I love it!! Lately, they have been driving me crazy but I wouldn’t trade this for the WORLD.
After baths and a nap, I took a quick trip to The Christmas Tree Shops with my mom, sister and Skyler. It is just me, or do you just want to buy everything for your home in that store? Not as tempting as Home Goods.. but close to it. Skyler found a bin of balls and of course, had to have one in her hands.
And yes, I bought her that ball… because Lord knows I was NOT taking it away from her in public.
We headed home afterwards and hung out for a bit before it was time to go to my parents for Sunday dinner. Thomas got to sit in the driver seat for a minute before we left…
Ugh, my heart melted… I thought this was the cutest pic of my boys <3 (and yes, the car was in park)
And that’s a wrap of my weekend! Hope you all have a fantastic week ahead!
